The meeting was attended by delegations of Kyrgyzstan (2 delegates), IRU (2 delegates) and the TIR secretariat.

After a brief tour de table, ECE presented a project overview and answered various questions. The participants agreed on the follow-up actions below:

Electronic TIR framework enters into force across globe in huge boost to trade facilitation

The new legal framework for the full digitalisation of the TIR system (the so-called eTIR) enters into force today, opening eTIR to 77 countries across five continents.

This landmark change will allow for completely paperless cross-border transit of goods, under the customs guarantee of the TIR system.

The meeting was attended by delegations of Tajikistan (3 delegates), IRU (3 delegates) and the TIR secretariat.

After a brief tour de table, ECE presented a project overview, proposed a draft project methodology and a technical overview of the eTIR international system and answered various questions. The participants, acknowledging the progress already accomplished in Tajikistan for the computerization of the TIR procedure with the assistance of ABBAT and IRU, agreed on the follow-up actions below:
